Registration Information
Registration in a Field Experience course (EDFX ###) is a two-step process:
- Like any UofA course, you must register via Bear Tracks (On-Line Registration System) in the appropriate EDFX course during registration. As all EDFX courses have limited space, register as early as possible.
- Next, you must also provide information about yourself through the Faculty of Education's Student Teaching On-Line Registration website. This information is entered into database maintained by Field Experiences staff. It is used only in establishing and managing student placements. It is critical that your placement information is current and accurate.
What happens next?
Field Experiences staff members ask schools to forward information that indicates how many teachers are willing to mentor a Student Teacher. This information and the information you provided through the Student Teaching On-Line Registration website, are used to match you with an appropriate school and Mentor Teacher.
Placement information is delivered first to the schools that are receiving Student Teachers.
After that you will be advised of your placement via the Field Experiences website homepage.
If you require further information about our Field Experiences Placement Guidelines, please check the appropriate link under Placement Information.
